Summer holiday is one of the finest occasion during our entire year. It is great opportunity not only to visit some nice location, but also to rest and recharge our batteries. But if you like our holidays to be perfect we have to plan it very smart, to avoid unpleasant situations. What issues are the most important? How to reduce the cost of the journey?

Perfect destination

Nowadays travels from our country have plenty of options to choose, cause flight tickets are very cheap, even those to exotic locations. That is why during vacation planning it is sometimes very difficult to choose one, perfect destination. First question we need to ask our self is what are our needs? Do we prefer to spending time on sightseeing or maybe laying on a beach all day long? Of course plenty of people better like to have it both. In that case the best option is to visit some big metropolis that lays by the sea, like Barcelona, Athens or Rome. If you are not a fan of a sea you should consider locations like Amsterdam, Madrid or Budapest for example.

Buy cheap airline ticket

One of the main costs of our holidays is transportation, but thanks to cheap airline carriers we have an opportunity to reduce expenditures a lot. Very important is to buy our plane ticket as soon as possible. If we do that about six months earlier we can get a huge discount. Cause when airline companies are introducing new flights they like people to buy it, so they are offering nice prices for couple of weeks. After that for the same ticket you may pay even two times more! Another option is to book last minute flight, it could be even cheaper, but a bit risky. You won’t have guarantee that your chosen destination will be available in last minute option.

What about baggage?

During your vacation planning you cannot forget about your baggage. Most of the airline companies are offering one piece of bag, mostly medium size valise, in a price of a plane ticket. If you like to take another, bigger bag you need to pay extra, sometimes price of registered baggage is the same as plane ticket! That is why if you like to travel for a penny you should be able to pack into carry on bag. However this option has couple of flaws. Even if the bag is in good size, you are not able to pack inside whatever you like, some items are forbidden on board. If you like to take liquid cosmetics, you need to pack each inside of transparent, plastic bottle, not bigger than 100 ml. You can take with you 10 bottles like that top, and collect them inside of transparent bag.
